With great respect to all the great pure passers that have graced the college football field, there is little doubt who the best NCAA college football quarterback of all-time is – Tim Tebow. With a combination of statistics, awards, overall career record, and intangibles, Tebow is a like no player that has ever graced the college football field playing field.
Between the years of 2006-2009, Tebow compiled passing statistics that rival some of the most pure passing quarterbacks to ever play the game. For his career, Tebow completed an amazing 66.4 percent of his passes for 9,285 yards and 88 touchdowns, with only 16 interceptions. An eye-dropping passer rating of 170.79 is evidence of how efficient Tebow was as a passer, not to mention managing game situations and methodically driving the Gators down the field time and time again.
Perhaps most amazing of all is how accomplished Tebow was as a dual threat. Besides being the hart and sole of the Gators, over his career, he rushed for 2,947 yards for 57 touchdowns, giving Tebow a total of 145 touchdowns for his career. He is the only player in NCAA history to rush and pass for at least 20 touchdowns in a season and owns five NCAA, 14 SEC and 28 UF records. Perhaps most amazing of all, Tebow was able to end his career by completing 31/35 of his passes for 482 passing yards and a career-long 80 yard TD pass to Riley Cooper in his final game for the Gators.

Naturally accompanying the statistics, Tebow possess all the hardware of a great college player. On December 8, 2007, Tim Tebow was awarded the Heisman Trophy, finishing ahead of Arkansas's Darren McFadden, and in 2008, Tebow finished third in the voting behind San Bradford and Colt McCoy. On January 11, 2009, at a national championship celebration held at Florida Field, Tebow announced that he would not make himself eligible for the NFL Draft but would instead return for his senior season at Florida.
Tim Tebow represents so much more than football, his intangibles would lead to success in just about any profession. His entire persona represents everything a great leader should posses. Tebow can literally carry an entire team on his back when needed for a long stretch of the game. As a dual threat, he is one of the most unpredictable players in history and drives defensive coordinators crazy because it is literally impossible to prepare to face the Gators when Tebow was at the helm. At 6 feet 3 and 242 pounds, he played the game with reckless abandon, resembling an NFL linebacker.
