Best All Time College Baseball Fans

Picking the best all-time college baseball fans is obviously not an easy task. There are so many factors to consider – including attendance at games; TV viewership; on-line fan blogs; merchandise sales, etc, etc.

We haven't thoroughly researched all these factors, but the most important is clearly attendance at games. In that category, LSU dominates. LSU has been in the top 3 forever – along with fellow SEC baseball schools – Arkansas and South Carolina. But, in 2009 LSU leap-frogged way ahead of everyone. In fact, of the top 7 fan attendance at individual games in 2009, LSU had all 7.

Of course, the fact that LSU has won 7 College World Series Championships since 1990 (more than anyone else) and the latest (2009) – well, success on the field is also a huge factor in motivating fans.

This success on the field also results in much more activity on-line by LSU fans as well as fan apparel and merchandise sales, etc.

Then, there is also the new LSU baseball stadium, just opened in February 2009. It is state of the art and rewards the loyal LSU fan base with perhaps the best college baseball stadium in the country.

All in all, we are comfortable picking LSU Tiger fans as the top all-time college baseball fans. Do you agree? If not, who would you pick?
