Feb 06, 2015 Rating Best Soft Ball player by: hillbilly sand flea When I was a pre-WWll kid, the Chattanooga "Wreckers" was the nemesis of the champion Clearwater "Bombers", mainly due to the great, great, great pitching efforts of Sawdust Smith, who I thought was the best in the world. Later day superlatives would have to honor the Lorelei Ladies or many other players since the girls now dominate the sport. Also I would not consider "slo-pitch" players to be mentioned as Sport, - like comparing book authoring to scrap-booking.
